When you arrive, a tour guide will escort you into the Visitor Complex for a private meet-and-greet experience with a NASA astronaut at no additional cost. This is a value-added benefit we offer exclusively to the guests on our tours.
At the Visitor Complex you have a chance to try the Shuttle Launch Experience, where you can find out what it feels like to launch into space and orbit Earth aboard a simulated space shuttle.
Then visit the Observation Gantry for a bird’s-eye view of the space shuttle launch pads. Stop at the Apollo/Saturn V Center where you can see a real rocket and touch a piece of moon rock! Watch IMAX movie screenings of Hubble 3D, narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, or Space Station 3D, which takes you on a virtual trip to the International Space Station.
Your tour include a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame where you can discover the heroes of the Last Frontier – outer space. See the largest collection of personal astronaut memorabilia and space artifacts ever assembled.
New Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibit showcases the legendary spacecraft, Atlantis. More than 60 interactive experiences highlight the people, passion and patriotism behind NASA’s program that launched the Hubble Space Telescope and built the International Space Station, plus you can see what it’s like to be a real astronaut! Take the helm at the shuttle cockpit; experience the sensation of floating in space; explore a replica of the ISS; and strap in to the sights, sounds and sensations of a shuttle launch!
